I prioritize quality continuing education to advance my expertise in research-based science. This dedication allows me to consistently improve my skills and abilities as a healthcare provider. I was also named a Top 3 finalist in Austin's Best of the Best 2020 reader poll by the Austin American-Statesman.
Apart from my role as a clinician, I am a devoted wife and mother. My husband, two children, and lively dog bring joy and excitement to my life every day. I love hanging out with my family and activities including hiking, boating, and camping.
APPROACH
I employ a functional approach to address musculoskeletal conditions. By assessing patients in their homes, I gain a deeper understanding of their daily living spaces, repetitive movements, and routines that may contribute to their pain. This approach allows me to not only make physical adjustments to the body but also assist in making systemic changes to their environment, resolving issues more effectively and potentially preventing future occurrences.
Treatment methods:
Manual therapy (joint mobilization, joint manipulation, soft tissue mobilization)
Neural mobilization techniques
Movement assessment and training
Ergonomic assessment and recommendations
Sports specific training
Therapeutic exercise
Neuromuscular re-education
Gait assessment and training
Patient education with home exercise programs
I am motivated not just by assisting my clients in reaching their goals; I also consider myself an integral part of your healing team. Your success is my success, and I celebrate your victories as my own. I also deeply invest in your health and well-being, my approach is personal, and targeted, emphasizes shared responsibility, and prioritizes achieving outcomes.
